Milestones are specific, measurable checkpoints in a contract that signify progress toward a larger goal. They are used to track progress, manage payments, and ensure timely completion of contractual obligations.
Steps:
On a contract, go to the Related Milestones tab. From here you can view and track the contract milestones as well as add new milestones
When adding a milestone, you capture its title, serial number, amount (optional), and dates (start and end dates) and attach file related to the milestone.
After a milestone has been added, the milestones table updates. It captures the new records.
The milestones have statuses (open, in progress, on hold, completed, or cancelled) that update when the status changes. The statuses show the stage that the milestone has reached, which are used to track the milestones
Also, the financial status can be tracked. A milestone can have the financial statuses: paid, partially paid, not paid, non-billable, not accepted and cancelled.
