Logging time on corporate matters is the process of accurately recording the time and effort spent on a specific client or case. It’s crucial for billing, project management, and tracking profitability.
There are two way of logging time on the system:
1. By using the timer on the navigation bar which automatically records time
2. By the user manually inputting the timed logged from Actions Center
1. Open a matter
2. Click on the timer next to the notifications. A small pop-up window appears.
3. Click Start timer. This opens a form where you choose if it’s a matter or task, then fill the matter name, category and comments.
4. Then click the start timer button to start timing. The timer icon will turn green. The User can also stop/pause the timer.
2. By the user manually inputting the time spent from Actions Center
Once the matter is opened, click on time logs then Click on the Actions button. It has a dropdown list of three options: Time Entry, Export to word and Start timer. Time entry - the user manually inputs the time he/she has spent on the matter and it’s saved on the log time.
